Getting Started

Now that you have made the smart decision to incorporate gas energy in your home, it is time to get set up in our system. First and foremost, you will need to Complete A New Customer Application and send it to the customer service department at Central Florida Gas. This will be your first step in the process. Please choose below what type of service your home falls under:

New Construction

If your home is a new construction home, your first step will be to speak with your builder regarding the set up of the gas service at the home. Dependent upon their involvement in the process, you will need to either Email Central Florida Gas for a meter set and turn-on or if your builder has already completed this, you will need to have the gas service transferred to your name. If you are needing to call or email in for a turn-on, please note that you will need to give CFG at least 24 hours notice and have all of your gas appliances connected prior to turn-on.

Please note that a deposit and turn-on fee will be charged to your account. We offer after-hour appointments on weekdays after 4:00 p.m. and on Saturdays for an additonal charge. Please note that if you are going to need an after-hour appointment, all scheduling with our customer service department must be made 24 hours in advance.

New Service at Existing Home

If your home is an already existing home, but you are wanting to add gas energy, you will need to first Contact Central Florida Gas to ensure that gas is available for your home. If it is available, CFG has created a Getting Started Guide that will help in step by step on what you can do to get your gas service and appliances in your home!

Please note that a deposit and turn-on fee will be charged to your account for turning the gas on to your home. We offer after-hour appointments on weekdays after 4:00 p.m. and on Saturdays for an additonal charge. Please note that if you are going to need an after-hour appointment, all scheduling with our customer service department must be made 24 hours in advance.

Existing Service at the Home

If you already have an existing service at your home but the gas is not turned on, you will need to contact CFG's customer service department and request a turn-on for the meter.
